No. But technically, what I do is clearing all ( or almost all ) the challenges that appear after beating a level. So I get lots of stuff to create upgrades, lots of money to build these upgrades and at the same time getting some levels. Then I'm well prepared for the next stage. And it doesn't get too easy, for the moment. I did it in the 1st game and the last boss was still hard.
