My impression is that the music is supposed to make you feel like you're an adventurer, and the game does a good job in that context, I guess...? Some songs had great starts to them, like the very first one that gives you a saturn/dreamcast vibe shortly before bringing out their STUPID rhythms that don't appeal to anyone. Seriously, this occurs CONSTANTLY, and it irritates me!
