Tsundere is a Japanese term that's a combination pf the terms "Tsun-tsun" (used to describe attitude) and "dere-dere" (lovey-dovey). It used to define characters that were hard-cases on the outside, bur were kind and loving on the inside. Nowadays it's meant more of a transition from a hard to soft personality.
