It says in the sword's description that it was specifically made to be used with the left hand, so anyone using it will have to do so with that hand. Warriors usually train to handle weapons with both hands so they can still fight in case their good hand is incapacitated, so I don't think switching hands is that big of an issue for a veteran like Impa.
