Honestly, I'd take Sonic CD without the 3D anyway, it's not like every game needs to have 3D (in my opinion) and, I believe Christian Whitehead (you know, the guy behind the mobile and I assume every other modern port of Sonic CD) even showed off CD running on a n3DS before, (unless it was just a special stage, I only vaguely remember a pic of a n3DS with a Sonic CD special stage on the screen).
