The Empire of Japan saw fast industrialization and militarization in the late 1930's, and invaded China. Swiftly taking Manchuria, Beijing, Inner Mongolia, and Mid China. After a stalemate for years, Thailand allied with Japan, taking all of Southeast Asia and British Burma.
