No. Don't separate your characters. You need to kill each monster one by one as fast as possible, and gathering your guys around one monster will give you the weak point gauge bonus, which helps tremendously. Take two light-element characters with Ganondorf and play only as them to give you an edge. Go for Phantom Ganon first. With my trick, he'll be toast in no time. Keep the Imprisoned for last.
