To be more precise, Phantom Ganon has two phases. The first phase, where he only holds one sword, is where you hit his magic spheres back at him. The second phase, where he holds two swords, is where you hit him in the back. (psst... spam bombs at him in the second phase. you'd be surprised how easily he falls from a few explosions)
