I mean, obviously it's decorative. That floral pattern enameled on the chest, those gold accents … Yet beside those, the construction is more similar to a ewer than a statue. There was also apparently a lot of mould inside when it was found. The spanish museum thought rainwater might have seeped inside, but … "rainwater? it was outside?" Not exactly. That's the first big mystery of this object.
