I should've been more specific with Iwata. The man was a brilliant developer, but his actions as head of Nintendo are what soured my opinion of him. Hope that makes sense. I agree with your friend, too. The GameCube was the last great Nintendo console, but now they're known for their gimmicks, and not for their games. I sincerely hope Kimishima can return them to their former glory.
