Luigi will probably be in the game in some fashion. In Super Mario Galaxy 1 & 2 once you had beaten the game you could play through the game again as Luigi. He had a higher jump, but slippery feet (classic Luigi). Who knows, maybe Nintendo will surprise us with 2-player somehow. I'm not sure it would work in the context of this game, but I would love to see Nintendo try.
