That stinks. I now have the New 3ds XL and its a nice upgrade over my original 3ds. Older one's battery started to fail on me and I had to keep it charged, because it cannot last even more than ten minutes. I suggest getting a upgrade, less headaches and it'll be easier to work with. Only disadvantage is New 3ds XLs are hard to come across, well for me though, but they are worth it.
