Usually because of popularity issues. I've made some great artwork lately, yet I don't get any requests unless I start mentioning it in a rant or something. In other words, there's a ridiculous imbalance between Popular and Unpopular here in Miiverse. It's getting harder for artists like us to get attention nowadays even if our Follower count keeps going up.
