I don't think your Xbox controller itself will need anything directly attached to it....I've never hooked up an Xbox controller to it though. there's something that looks like a flash drive with a signal Reciever built into it & thats all my Nintendo stuff (Wii U controllers/pro controller & Wii Mote/chuck) uses.
