I think they did announce they'd corrected some manufacturing issue with the left joy con so hopefully it won't affect future adopters. Usually Nintendo hardware is built well and made to last so I have faith they'll correct the issue. I don't even think they'll address it at E3 as it will only confirm the widespread accounts and warrant a massive recall.
