Interestingly, I've read that the sell-through rate reported by retailers is very high, meaning almost everyone who buys the Switch is also buying a physical copy of a game, a pro controller, and some kind of case or other accessory. This was not how retailers described PS4 or Xbox One sales and indicates a very motivated consumer demographic thanks to good advertising and a recovering economy.
