Most people don't meet their lifelong partners until later in life. Very few people get married to whomever they were dating in high school, and even fewer of those relationships last very long. It's not worth the misery and frustration. Spend your time doing things that make you happy rather than forcing yourself into this unnecessary drama again and again.
