@AD: I didn't say you didn't know how relationships work, I said they aren't truly meaningful at your age in comparison to just being good friends. Having someone be there for you and give you attention sounds exactly like what a good friend should do. All I'm saying is that the title of "boyfriend" or "girlfriend" is pretty arbitrary at that age. Just focus on being good friends first.
