As a person who's been in the same situation you are in, it's best to just find someone else. It actually harmed me worse to just wait there and watch, then it's been to leave him and find someone else. Not only that, but the person who's he's currently with, began to degrade him as a person.. though that's a different situation that has yet to have an ending.
