Dave, have you tried Mario Tennis for the Wii? All Wii disc games will work on your WiiU and you can play Wii games on the TV or WiiU gamepad, they work on gamepad coz WiiU's gamepad as a sensor for Wii motion built into gamepad. Mario Tennis Wii as unresponsive controls but there is more content in Wii Mario Tennis than UltraSmashTennis for WiiU.
