Calling any of the Chrom pairings canonical is usually asking for trouble but I know the "I must show a happy face for the sake of others!" thing Inigo mentions on his father supports makes much more sense when Inigo is an actual royal with royal responsibilities to his people rather than say, a preacher's son. ›_› That said, Chrom x Olivia IS my favourite pairing for them so I'm biased.
