i think pokemon sun and moon is based of Hawaii there is several resons for what i think but one of them is: you know the guy who goes to hotels and if you speak to him every day,one day he will give you a strange object that comes from a far away place?well since kalos is based of of France Hawaii is far away and the strange object looks like a totem but its just my opinion
