Gunlance is Excellent for Gravios and Basarios, the shelling of the gunlace does fixed damage which is great for breaking the body and damaging the legs. Remeber, Shelling on gunlance is not affected by sharpness (unless you count being able to shell, you cannot use the explosions on red) so you can blast away at it all fight.
